Swift Microwave Therapy

Swift is a new technology, developed in the UK, and uses microwave energy delivered through a special probe applied to the skin, to treat verruca or wart tissue. Some discomfort is usually felt, but lasts only 2-3 seconds. The area may feel a little sore afterwards, but you can undertake your usual activities. No smoke, no dressings, no anaesthetics.
Three to four treatments are usually required, at approximately 4 weeks apart.
St John's Foot Clinic is proud to bring this technology to Surrey, providing a revolutionary new technique for treating verrucas.
How is Swift different to traditional therapies?

Traditional verruca therapies have mainly used either cryotherapy (freezing), salicylic acid combinations or electrosurgery.
This has necessitated varyng degrees of pain during and after treatmet, bulky dressings that must be kept dry for 3 - 7 days, anaesthetics, and tissue destruction which is difficult to measure beforehand.
This is not the case with Swift. Post treatment pain is vastly reduced, no dressings or anaesthtics are used, and we are able to accurately and consistely measure its' effect on the verruca.
